Football Recap: Coventry Falls Short Against Ranked Lincoln + How To Watch

Coventry faced Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Oakers lost 37-15 to the Lions. The Oakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Camren Jones threw for 108 yards on only ten passes. Luke Mullen was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards.

Coventry has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points over those games. As for Lincoln, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coventry will venture away from home to challenge Woonsocket at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will head out to face off against North Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
