Winnebago Lutheran Academy proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Southern Door Eagles 2-1. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Winnebago Lutheran Academy who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 15-13.

Jill Pinno paced Winnebago Lutheran Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Pinno got some help from Sam Unger and her 11 assists. Hailey Wolf controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Alanna Paye and Ava Everard certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Paye had nine digs and one assist, while Everard had seven digs and one assist.

The win got Winnebago Lutheran Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Southern Door, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Ripon on the 13th. As for Southern Door, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Omro on the 13th.
