Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers, falling 70-49. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Panthers are ranked 24th).

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-52 win against Moore on the 22nd.
