Soccer Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

The Capital Cougars didn't have quite enough to beat the North Thurston Rams on Tuesday and fell 2-1. One reason for the loss might be Capital's aggressive play style: five Capital players were handed yellow cards.

Their goal came courtesy of Aslan Gikaru, which was the first he's scored this season.

Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-3. As for North Thurston, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-3 record this season.

Capital is taking a road trip to take on Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Thurston, they will welcome Timberline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
