Baseball Recap: Easton Area Comes Up Short

After flying high against Acton-Boxborough on Friday, Easton Area came back down to earth. The Rovers lost 14-4 to the Liberty Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Rovers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Chase Shollenberger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Easton Area's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Liberty, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Easton Area will host Bethlehem Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rovers are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Liberty, they will head out to take on Nazareth Area at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight.
