Basketball Recap: New Berlin West Comes Up Short

New Berlin West was the 53-37 winner over Greendale when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The New Berlin West Vikings fell 68-57 to the Greendale Panthers on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (56), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

New Berlin West has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Greendale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

New Berlin West will venture away from home to challenge Milwaukee Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Milwaukee Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Greendale, they will welcome Pius XI Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
