Volleyball Recap: Andover's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Andover had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Boston Latin Wolfpack on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Golden Warriors, who have now won four matches in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-16, 25-9.

Leading Andover to victory were Tina Zheng and Claire Zhang. Zheng had 20 assists and three aces, while Zhang had six aces. Those six aces gave Zhang a new career-high. Noor Berty also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Andover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 35 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Andover's record now sits at 17-4. As for Boston Latin, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

As of now, neither Andover nor the Wolfpack have any future games scheduled.
