Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Caldwell County's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Caldwell County's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Hopkins County Central Storm by a score of 78-66. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 84-53 last Friday.

Caldwell County has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Hopkins County Central, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell County will face off against Madisonville-North Hopkins at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Madisonville-North Hopkins' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Hopkins County Central, they will square off against Graves County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopkins County Central is facing Graves County at the right time seeing as Graves County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
