Softball Recap: San Marino Drops Season-High Score on Temple City

San Marino scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Temple City Rams, falling 17-10. The loss leaves the Titans still looking for their first win of the season.

Sarah Esbenshade was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Alexandra Hughes was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Esbenshade wasn't the only one working in the hit department: San Marino kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Temple City only managed ten hits.

San Marino's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Temple City, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

San Marino wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 win against Maranatha on the 20th. As for Temple City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Monrovia on the 21st.
