Softball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Chief Sealth Seahawks, falling 32-18. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Seahawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Astrid Way made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Cara Iftner, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Chief Sealth, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Cleveland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 23-10 loss against Ingraham on the 5th. As for Chief Sealth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 25-8 defeat against Nathan Hale on the 8th.
