Portville had already won 22 in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it 23 on Saturday. They came out on top against the Brighton Bruins by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ali Haynes paced Portville's offense, picking up four kills. Haynes got some help from Addie Walker and her seven assists. Haynes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Portville's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Portville has already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Victor on the 30th. As for Brighton, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Gates Chili at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bruins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
