Racine Lutheran had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the St. Catherine's Angels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-7 on Tuesday.

Iyana Garza was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Emilie Lozano Weaver was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Sammi Agerholm was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Racine Lutheran was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Catherine's only posted a batting average of .118.

Racine Lutheran pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Catherine's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Racine Lutheran will challenge Racine Case at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Catherine's, they will square off against Racine Horlick at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
