Soccer Recap: Martin Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Martin was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Arlington Colts by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Colts are ranked 69th).

Martin's goal came courtesy of Claire Pope, which was the first she's scored this season.

Martin now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Martin has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Lamar on the 17th. Arlington has also already played their next game (against Haltom), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
