DeWitt let Drew Central stack four runs on them in the sixth inning on Friday but luckily DeWitt prevailed anyway. The Dragons came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 8-4. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Griffin Whitmore made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Whitmore was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Ross, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Caleb Simpson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

DeWitt's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Drew Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

As of now, neither DeWitt nor Drew Central have any future games scheduled.
