Football Recap: Black Hawk/Warren IL's Rushing Dominance Continues

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Black Hawk/Warren IL had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the River Ridge Timberwolves 8-6. Those eight points were actually the fewest Black Hawk/Warren IL has put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Black Hawk/Warren IL was led to victory by Beau Podnar and Jacob Woodruff. Podnar rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, while Woodruff rushed for 113 yards on only 14 carries. Podnar really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Black Hawk/Warren IL was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 191 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Black Hawk/Warren IL's record now sits at 10-0. As for River Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
