Basketball Recap: Smithville Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Smithville waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 55-47 victory over the Whitesboro Bulldogs. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Smithville pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Whitesboro, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Smithville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Valliant at 8:00 p.m. As for Whitesboro, they will square off against Red Oak at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Red Oak will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Whitesboro surely won't give up without a fight.
