Volleyball Recap: Ann Sobrato Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ann Sobrato was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Leigh Longhorns. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Ann Sobrato started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-20, 26-24, 25-21.

Leigh's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Megan Chiu, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Chiu has posted since back in October of 2024. Amy Choi was another key player, getting 19 assists and two aces.

Ann Sobrato's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Leigh, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Ann Sobrato has already played their next contest (against Presentation), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Leigh, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against King's Academy on the 13th.
