The Bridges Prep Buccaneers are taking a road trip to face off against the Hampton County Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Bridges Prep came up short against Lake Marion on Friday, falling 62-37. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Gators are ranked 72nd).

Despite the loss, Bridges Prep saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addie Taylor posted eight points along with ten rebounds and six blocks. Taylor has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 15 times she's played.
Meanwhile, Hampton County entered their tilt with Whale Branch on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 51-40 victory over the Warriors.
Bridges Prep better focus on containing Lyric Jones and Travaih Henderson as the pair were huge in Hampton County's win. Jones went 7 of 15 on her way to 21 points and five rebounds, while Henderson went 5 for 11 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Faith Brooks, who earned four points and seven rebounds.
Hampton County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.
Hampton County's win was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.5 points over those games. As for Bridges Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bridges Prep has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Hampton County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
