            Softball Recap: Rivera Raiders vs. Odem Owls        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Rivera, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. They blew past the Odem Owls 8-0 on Friday. The Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Danna Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Ramirez was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI. Those  RBI were  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hazel Gonzalez, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a  double, which washer first of the season.

 Rivera wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  10-9  defeat against Calhoun on the 15th. As for Odem, they have also  already played their next contest,  a  4-3  loss against Jones on the 14th.
