Basketball Recap: Raines' Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Raines can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against the Atlantic Coast Stingrays as the Raines Vikings made off with a 63-39 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Jesus Rice was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Timothy Cole, who posted ten points.

Amari Fields and Da'Juan Thompson certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Fields went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points, while Thompson scored eight points and eight rebounds. Thompson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Raines' record is now 8-12. As for Atlantic Coast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Raines has already played their next game, a 71-62 defeat against Mandarin on the 21st. As for Atlantic Coast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-37 win against Parker on the 23rd.
