Basketball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Smithton Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-44 back in December of 2024.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Smithton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

While Northwest had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
