Volleyball Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

Newport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holmes Bulldogs. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Newport's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Holmes, they moved to 2-22 with that victory, which also ended their 13-match losing streak.

Newport has already played their next matchup (against St. Patrick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Holmes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
