Softball Recap: Davenport Broncos vs. Osceola Kowboys
Davenport fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Osceola on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Osceola Kowboys by a score of 8-7. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Kowboys recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Jordyn Duran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
Davenport's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Osceola, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Coming up, Davenport will host Fort Meade at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Davenport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Osceola, they will head out on the road to challenge Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
