Basketball Recap: Sigourney Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sigourney can now relate to. They lost 65-44 to the Springville Orioles on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Savages of the 63-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2020.

Sigourney's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Springville, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Sigourney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springville, they will venture away from home to challenge Newell-Fonda at 6:45 p.m. on March 5th. One thing working in Newell-Fonda's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 contests.
