Football Game Recap: Bloomington vs. Urbana

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Bloomington and Urbana. Bloomington took the matchup and then some with a 47-12 win on Saturday over Urbana. That result was just more of the same for Bloomington, who also won the last time these teams played.

Bloomington's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Urbana put up 6, so the score was 21-6 at the half. The Bloomington defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the match. The victory bumped Bloomington's record up to 4-1. Urbana are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.

Next week Bloomington take on Normal Community at Homecoming at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Bloomington and Normal Community will really light up the scoreboard. Urbana will look to defend their home turf against Centennial at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
