After flying high against Oakland Mills on Monday, Marriotts Ridge came back down to earth. Marriotts Ridge fell just short of the Mt. Hebron Vikings by a score of 11-9 on Tuesday. Marriotts Ridge's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Biff Lorah was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Groff, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Marriotts Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Mt. Hebron, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Marriotts Ridge will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Atholton at 4:00 p.m. The Raiders will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Mt. Hebron, they will head out to take on Hammond at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Golden Bears at the right time seeing as the Golden Bears are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
