Basketball Recap: Varnum Takes a Loss

Varnum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 61-30 defeat at the hands of the Lone Grove Longhorns. The matchup marked the Whippets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Varnum's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Lone Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Varnum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-49 win against Clinton on the 25th. As for Lone Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-37 victory against Perry on the 25th.
