Volleyball Recap: Willard Tigers vs. Webb City Cardinals
After flying high against Parkview on Tuesday, Willard came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Webb City Cardinals by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
While Willard ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 12 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 23-25, 23-25, 15-12.
Taylor Roweton paced Willard's offense, picking up 21 kills. Roweton got some help from Ashlyn Hurd and her 17 assists. Ava Simpson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
