Softball Recap: Glide Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Glide can now relate to. They fell just short of the North Valley Knights by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Glide's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for North Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Glide does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Valley, they will face off against South Umpqua on Friday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
