Flag Football Game Preview: Village Christian Crusaders vs. Bishop Alemany Warriors

The Village Christian Crusaders will head out on the road to take on the Bishop Alemany Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Village Christian's offense hasn't had much luck over their past eight contests, but Monday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 38-6, which was the final score in Village Christian's tilt against Notre Dame (SO) on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 675th, while the Knights are ranked 103rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Alemany). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 39-12 win over Immaculate Heart. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

With the win, Bishop Alemany broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11. As for Village Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Village Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bishop Alemany in their previous meeting back in September, but they still walked away with a 13-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
