Soccer Game Preview: Shelley vs. Skyline

The Shelley Russets will challenge the Skyline Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shelley knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Skyline likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Shelley didn't have quite enough to beat Blackfoot and fell 5-4.

Miguel Chavez and Tristan Howell scored all four of the Russets' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Skyline was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Idaho Falls by a score of 1-0. Skyline have struggled against Idaho Falls recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-3. As for Shelley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-2.

Shelley skirted past Skyline 1-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Do the Russets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
