Football Game Preview: Northwest Christian School vs. Davenport

Davenport will take on Northwest Christian School at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Davenport, but that can only make success all the sweeter.

After a big victory against Kettle Falls two weeks ago, Davenport came back down to earth. Davenport ended up on the wrong side of a painful 14-39 walloping at Liberty's hands. Davenport's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Alex Plasensia, who rushed for 210 yards and 2 touchdowns. Plasensia has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 5 games.

Meanwhile, don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Northwest Christian School and Oroville were playing football. Northwest Christian School strolled past Oroville with points to spare last Friday, taking the match 62-45. The success made it back-to-back wins for Northwest Christian School.

Northwest Christian School's victory lifted them to 4-1 while Davenport's loss dropped them down to 1-4. In their victory, Northwest Christian School relied heavily on senior Silas Perreiah, who rushed for 455 yards and 6 touchdowns. Davenport will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
