Basketball Recap: Myli Harpold Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Titusville

Eau Gallie fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They managed a 32-27 win over the Titusville Terriers on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Commodores: when they faced off against the Terriers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 54-15 defeat.

Eau Gallie got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Myli Harpold out in front who posted three points along with five assists and three steals. That's the most steals Harpold has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adryana Jones, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Titusville's loss came despite strong showings from Kennedie Sanders and Braniyah Brown. Sanders went 9 of 21 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and five steals, while Brown earned two points along with 14 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals. The matchup was Sanders' fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Eau Gallie's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Titusville, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Eau Gallie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-38 victory against Merritt Island on the 28th. Titusville has also already played their next match, a 58-28 win against West Shore on the 30th.
