Conemaugh Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the United Lions a 4-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Jays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Megan Bilak, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Kylee Ferguson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Conemaugh Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for United, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Conemaugh Valley beat the Lions by a score of 3-1 on Monday.
