Viola is a perfect 8-0 against Mammoth Spring since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Viola Longhorns will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Mammoth Spring Bears at 4:00 p.m. Mammoth Spring took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Viola, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Viola and Hillcrest meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Viola blew past Hillcrest 31-2. The win continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Screamin Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Viola got a massive performance out of Dana Wright, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Ryliegh Golden was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Mammoth Spring's offense. They came up short against Cotter on Monday, falling 26-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Mammoth Spring's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Viola, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went Viola's way against Mammoth Spring in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Viola made off with a 16-1 win. Does Viola have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mammoth Spring turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
