After a string of nine wins, Virgin Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Destry Tobler paced Virgin Valley's offense, picking up five kills. Tobler got some help from Dallin Moeai and his 13 assists. McKay Mulitalo controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Virgin Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Virgin Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Southeast Career Tech on the 4th. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Sweetwater on the 4th.
