Recap: St. Xavier Bombers vs. Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The St. Xavier Bombers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Archbishop Moeller by a score of 10-7. St. Xavier's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Chase Herbstreit threw for 151 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Britt was his top target, gaining 101 total yards and a touchdown.
St. Xavier's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Archbishop Moeller, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
St. Xavier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Archbishop Moeller will square off against Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mason will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Archbishop Moeller is ranked fifth).
