Basketball Game Preview: Nashua South Purple Panthers vs. Bedford Bulldogs

Nashua South is 2-8 against Bedford since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Nashua South Purple Panthers will challenge the Bedford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Nashua South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Bedford likes a good challenge.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Nashua South faced off against Nashua North on Friday. Nashua South walked away with a 62-50 win over Nashua North. Given the Purple Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Titans are ranked 56th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bedford entered their tilt with Goffstown on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They beat the Grizzlies by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 90-60. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Bedford pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.9 points per game. As for Nashua South, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Nashua South took a serious blow against Bedford in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 91-61. Can Nashua South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
