Baseball Recap: Central A & M Raiders vs. Meridian Hawks
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Central A & M brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They never let the Meridian Hawks onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was just what Central A & M needed coming off of a 21-0 defeat in their prior game.
Gavin Houchins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Houchins has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Houchins was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
