Recap: Limon Badgers vs. Wiggins Tigers

The Limon Badgers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Everything went their way against Wiggins as Limon made off with a 42-21 win. The result was nothing new for Limon, who have now won seven contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Lohgan Bottjer was on fire: he rushed for 270 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry.

Despite the loss, Wiggins still got an impressive performance from Jayson Lousberg, who rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns. Lousberg is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.

Limon's victory was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-2 Monte Vista and 8-2 Florence (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.6% over those games). As for Wiggins, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Limon will challenge Y at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Y will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Limon is ranked 20th). Wiggins will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wray at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
