Volleyball Recap: Bourne Takes Down Hamilton-Wenham Regional in a Playoff Battle

Bourne extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Hamilton-Wenham Regional. They blew past the Generals 3-0. The win was nothing new for the Canalmen as they're now sitting on five straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.

Avery Morrill was the offensive standout of the contest as she had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October. Lyla Beane also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Bourne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 24 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Bourne's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Hamilton-Wenham Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

As of now, neither Bourne nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
