Basketball Recap: Culver Academies Eagles vs. Kokomo Wildkats

On Thursday, the Culver Academies Eagles ended up a good deal behind the Kokomo Wildkats and lost 74-60. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kokomo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zion Bellamy led the charge by going 5 of 9 on his way to 21 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. That's the most boards Bellamy has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Baris Moore, who went 6 for 13 en route to 17 points along with three steals and three blocks.

Culver Academies' defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Kokomo, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
