Basketball Recap: Esmerelda Cervantes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stephenville FAITH over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent

Stephenville FAITH was the 57-23 winner over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Stephenville FAITH Knights fell just short of Non Varsity Tournament Opponent by a score of 41-38 on Saturday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stephenville FAITH lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Esmerelda Cervantes, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Necessary, who had six points and nine rebounds.

Stephenville FAITH's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Stephenville FAITH wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-25 win against Texas Wind on the 10th. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they will square off against Forestburg at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
