Glenbard West had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Whitney Young on Saturday. The Hilltoppers put the hurt on the Dolphins with a sharp 9-1 win. Winning may never get old, but the Hilltoppers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Olivia Salerno spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Megan Stieglitz, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Ainslie Bobroff was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Glenbard West's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Whitney Young, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season.

Glenbard West has already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against York on the 21st. As for Whitney Young, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Minooka on the 19th.
