Game recap: Bagdad High School Football Team defeats Mogollon

BAGDAD, Ariz. - Bagdad (Ariz.) put up eight points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 44-20 victory over Mogollon (Heber, Ariz.).

After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Sultans led 20-14 at the half.

Bagdad grew its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by tony Jauregui to Kody Low.

The loss snapped Mogollon's nine-game winning streak.



The Mustangs came in allowing just 13.8 points per game this season. Mogollon struggled against Bagdad's offense, who entered the game scoring 24.4 points per game.

The loss comes after Mogollon defeated Pima 58-48 last week.
