Basketball Recap: Sal Giardina Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lancaster

St. Francis won the last time they faced Lancaster and things went their way on Wednesday too. The St. Francis Red Raiders put the hurt on the Lancaster Legends with a sharp 66-42 victory. With the Red Raiders ahead 36-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

St. Francis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sal Giardina, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points. Those 14 points gave Giardina a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Donte Parker Jr, who posted nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Francis and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

St. Francis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-56 win against The Park School of Buffalo on the 20th. As for Lancaster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-38 defeat against Pioneer on the 20th.
