Montgomery has gone a perfect 4-0 against Dayton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Montgomery Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Dayton Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Montgomery will be strutting in after a victory while Dayton will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Montgomery was able to grind out a solid win over Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy, taking the game 4-2. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Eagles are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Montgomery hit Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bianka Wemhoff, Megan Barber, Aleah Whitehead, and Burkley Burgess.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Dayton was a bit more limited in their game last Monday. They lost 8-0 to Crosby. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Montgomery is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six contests. Dayton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-2.

Everything went Montgomery's way against Dayton in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Montgomery made off with a 9-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Montgomery since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
