Softball Recap: Thorsby Takes a Loss

Thorsby's last matchup with Childersburg could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Rebels came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 last Tuesday.

Thorsby saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Reeser, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run. Brinley Giambrone was another, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Thorsby's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-1. As for Childersburg, the victory got them back to even at 17-17.

Looking ahead, Thorsby is taking a road trip to face off against Shelby County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Childersburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winterboro at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
