Galena Park put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rhinos, too.

Daniel Gomez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Galena Park's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Gutierrez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Fabian Cantu also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Galena Park pushed their record up to 16-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carnegie Vanguard, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Coming up, Galena Park will face off against Sharpstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carnegie Vanguard will be paying especially close attention to the Yellowjackets' match: after the Yellowjackets faces off against the Apollos, they'll take on Carnegie Vanguard again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
