With a playoff win on the line, New Castle rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils by a score of 67-56. The win was familiar territory for the Hurricanes, who have now won nine games in a row.

New Castle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ralphie Blundo led the charge by on his way to 25 points. With that strong performance, Blundo is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Kai Cox, who en route to 17 points along with seven boards and five assists.

New Castle's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Mt. Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 19-8.

Coming up, New Castle will challenge Upper St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in New Castle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. Mt. Lebanon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
